I went out last night for a friends birthday and after numerous beverages we ended up back at another friends flat. At this point I will admit I didn’t last too long and ended up slinking off to her spare room for a lie down.
At some point during the night I was joined by a female friend as the group all decided to crash. Even later on, in what was probably the small hours of the morning, Scorpio who had fallen asleep on the sofa (I was told this after the fact of course) decided that he was going to come join us and slid into the middle of the bed.
This would have been fine, however because he was in the middle, once he fell asleep again he started to sprawl out. In some part of his unconscious he must have realised that it would be bad form to sprawl onto the side that our friend was on, which meant that he started to sprawl onto me. I was elbowed in the head more than once, nearly pushed out of the bed a good few times, had my pillow stolen and the covers kicked off of me, had to listen to a cacophony of animal type noises right in my ear every time he rolled onto his back and nearly got rolled on. There is a nursery rhyme about people in the bed and the little one seemed to get the good end of the deal…it’s all lies.
This morning once we were all awake, we decided to go for breakfast which turned into hair of the dog, which turned into an all day session in a beer garden in the sunshine. So now it’s 10:30pm I’ve had very little sleep, a few too many beverages and probably not enough food. I was about to dissapear off to dreamland when I remembered that today was the concluding day of the A to Z challenge and I didn’t want to miss it. So here it is my last post for this challenge, it’s been fun and I only missed one letter.
Now I’m away to catch some zzzz.
