Blog Tour | Bound To You #review #giveaway

In a break from the A to Z challenge madness, I am bringing you a review of Bound To You and for those of you in the US and Canada, there is a giveaway as well.

bound to you

A stubborn teen faces off with her brooding, indifferent (but super hot) soulmate in this unique and sexy take on a classic paranormal romance story.

She’s met her mate . . . and he’s met his match.

Megan Ross has been waiting her whole life for her mate to come and sweep her off her feet. But the wolf she meets on the beach is NOT the sweet gentle boy she’s been dreaming of. Instead, he’s a warrior, one whose suffering has led him to lock his heart away in a prison as cold and hard as a diamond, who fights to resist the bond and their deep attraction.

Far from home, with a soulmate who is still a stranger, Megan learns that the path to true love isn’t quite as straight and easy as she thought . . .

I’d forgotten how much I like paranormal stories, I think I got a bit oversaturated a while back and I haven’t read one in a while, but luckily this one fell into my lap and was exactly what I needed to renew my love of the genre.

I really liked the tension at the start of this story and that Megan and James didn’t just fall together, that even though they were mates they weren’t too lovey-dovey and that they had to work to form a connection.

I always find this a little difficult to judge, to my mind at points the characters seemed a little childish, I know they are teenagers but there were points that I had to roll my eyes. Megan came across as a bit dim at points but she was accepted to (what I believe to be) a really good school so I doubted she was.

I liked James, the brooding tortured type does push my buttons, and there is plenty of damage there but I felt like he could have had a little something more, I feel like I was starting to see a bit deeper and then the story ended.

Whilst this is a book about werewolves it is mostly a romance based story, however, there are a lot of elements to it that I felt were a little unfinished and left me with a lot of unanswered questions. Now if it turns out to be the first book in a series then that would make sense because then I know some of my questions would be addressed, also because it would be nice to get to know the characters a little more.

Whilst there were a few things that didn’t agree with me I really enjoyed this story, I found that I was hooked and didn’t want it to end where it did.
