everywhere in May

I am doing really well this month on catching up on some of my books to fill the gaps for my RWDC TBR Challenge, even though I’ve not quite managed to fill my prompts for this month, mood reading at its finest. As well as that year long challenge my favourite summer reading challenge is back, it kicks off from the first of June and I’m hoping to beat last years total, I have made a tentative reading list in my 20 books of summer post. I also read an interesting bunch of books this month…

The Cloisters | Katy Hays

An atmospheric story that didn’t really seem to go anywhere fast but did keep just enough interest.

The Girl In Question | Tess Sharpe

Loved this, an amazing continuation of Nora’s story, a thrilling adventure.

Yellowface | R.F. Kuang

A clever satirical critique of the publishing industry that deserves its hype.

It’s Not Summer Without You | Jenny Han

Enjoyable easy escapism, still not quite what I hoped.

The Last | Hanna Jameson

An unsettling thriller that feels almost too close to reality and will stay with me for a while.

Coming up…

Looking forward to my summer reading, I’ve got some good picks lined up.
