everywhere in December

I thought November went by quickly and then came December, honestly have been so much busier than I ever imagined so I am a little shy of my goal for the year because I didn’t get much reading time in over Christmas. However I did catch up with all my reviews so at least I have a fresh start for the year which I’m pleased about. Before I start recapping the year, which is quite an exciting task, I thought I’d have a look at what happened around here this month. I managed 9 books this month and it was a very mixed bag…

The Formidable Miss Cassidy | Meihan Boey

A brilliant historical book with a bit of magic and a wonderful main character.

We’ll Always Have Summer | Jenny Han

A rather disappointing conclusion to the series.

The Ballad of Never After | Stephanie Garber

An amazing continuation of the series, I absolutely loved it.

Star Cursed | Elizabeth Briggs

This one had a bit of a shocking twist but wasn’t as exciting as the first book.

The Haunting Scent of Poppies | Victoria Williamson

A chilling ghost story set at Christmas, it was short but packed a punch.

Fantasyland series | Kristen Ashley

I did a mega review post for these books and they all varied quite drastically but it was a re-read that left a lot to be desired.

I’m going to give myself another pass on my January TBR because I feel like taking the pressure off a little bit as I feel like I want it to be a quiet month but I have a sneaky suspicion that I’ll be a little busy bee again.

Happy reading
