High and dry

Stranded.

Cut off from everything that makes sense.

It’s the little things that won’t let me forget, their association bringing the memories back like a show reel. Once it starts it doesn’t want to stop.

The pain still feels the same even after all this time, making my heart skip and a strange sort of adrenalin courses through my body.

Anger with nowhere to go.

Those calm waters are where I want to be but instead, I’m on the towering jagged rocks trying to climb down.
