Hi, it’s nice to meet you…

I was going to try and think of something very witty to say here but I suppose it makes more sense for this to be without pretence. I’m not very good at sharing anything too personal, that counts in “real life” and in this wonderful online community that I have found myself in, but I have faced a number of personal challenges lately that have really got me thinking about who I am and who I want to be.

Don’t worry I’m not going to get too much into that conversation, we’d certainly need a couple of bottles of wine and a lot of tissues and chocolate for that.

However it has helped me make a decision that I have been thinking over for a little while. When I first created this little space of my own I was looking for something that would help bring me back my creativity which I felt sure I had lost, I had read an article about a woman who had started a blog for a specific project and how that had helped her in evolving what she had been doing and how the feedback from viewers had been beneficial in its progression.

After reading that article I thought to myself, I could do that, maybe that would help, and so I started researching different platforms and thinking about what I wanted to call my own little slice of the internet.

But when it came to putting it all out there for some reason I couldn’t do it wholly, I wasn’t ready to entirely reveal myself, I think it was maybe the fear of failure or looking like an idiot. So I concocted a persona, or should I say I stole a name from a character I created to hide behind, but I’ve decided that I don’t really want to hide any more.

I don’t know why this suddenly feels so terrifying but here we go, hi everyone………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

So there will be a few changes on social media profiles etc, but probably not all in one day because I’m going to hide behind a cushion and pretend that I don’t want to look.
