Goodreads recently posted their top 100 YA books, they took a look at all our reviews and which books ended up on our shelves and then made a list of the books rated with a four to five stars average rating. Since I am a big fan of YA I wondered how many I had managed to read so far and decided that I would maybe try and read some more of the top 100…here’s the list. I should mention that only the first book in a series will appear because they wanted to make it a little fairer.

So I am quite surprised that out of 100 of the top books I have read 9, what is even more surprising to me is that a lot of them I have actually seen in movie form but haven’t read them and usually I am not for that at all.
On the other hand, though it just means I have loads of really good books to get to, any recommendations on where to start?
How many have you read?
Are there any other books you thought should have made the cut?

You have to read One of us is lying if you haven’t already. Really enjoyed that one! ☺️

Nope but I certainly want to get round to it 🙂

Well you beat me 😊 I only read 7 but I own 10. The list looks heavier on the fantasy side than I’d have thought too..

It is an interesting mix, there are a good few books in there that I’ve never heard of before, so there will be a lot of good books to look forward to.
