everywhere in May

May has been an unusual month, I was struck down by a viral infection and struggled with reading and writing reviews, so it wasn’t a great reading month but I am on the mend now so hopefully it will improve for June. Especially as I am taking part in my favourite and most relaxed reading challenge from June to September, here is my 20 books of summer post outlining what I am hoping to read over the summer, but before we get to that here is what I managed in May…

Hex | Jenni Fagan

Fantastic and emotional account of the Scottish witch trials.

The Knave of Secrets | Alex Livingston

A unique fantasy with card games and secrets and manipulation.

The Maddest Obsession | Danielle Lori

A slow burn dark romance with a feisty heroine and sizzling chemistry.

Where the Crawdads Sing | Delia Owens

A captivating story of love and survival with a setting that leaps off the page.

Coming up…

Well if you’ve seen my 20 books of summer TBR post then some of these will be familiar, but I’m hoping to get to these books in the next month…
