everywhere in August

I am on a roll with reading this month, the perks of a holiday having all day to read and relax, and I picked some really good books to take with me which I sorted through with my first post of the month where I joined in on Top 5 Wednesday with a book audit. I managed five books this month which makes a dent in my reading challenges and backlog and I’m hoping that now I am home I can continue this streak and fit in a bit more reading in my everyday life. Here are the wonderful books I read in August…

The Last Tale of the Flower Bride | Roshani Chokshi

A confusing but beautiful book, with an amazingly enigmatic atmosphere.

The Invocations | Krystal Sutherland

A fantastic and macabre book that seamlessly blends action, mystery, and fantasy.

A Rose Among Thorns | Ash Fitzsimmons

An entertaining and engaging urban fantasy with a little bit of romance and action.

Funny Story | Emily Henry

A brilliant book, full of witty banter, and with a wonderful slow burn romance.

The Hunting Moon | Susan Dennard

A fantastic continuation of the seriesย with brilliant new nightmares and dangerous adventure.

Coming up…

I know I know that decidedly looks like a Christmas book, in my defense this is not the first time I’ve read such a book out of season. Happy reading.
