“Are you sure you want that?” I said slyly
“What do you mean?” his eyebrow quirked
“Well you know you were complaining that you felt a bit sluggish the other day and maybe having a pastry isn’t a good idea.”
“I’m fine I was just a bit knackered, plus I’ve been going to the gym again.”
“If you say so.”
“I’m allowed a treat now and again, I know I’ve been overindulging a little but I’m generally fit as a fiddle.”
“mmmhmm”
“Well now I’ve lost my appetite.”
“What a pity, all the more for me.”
Works every time.

Aha! Passive-aggressive trickery. Sly little treat-stealer.

Clever and snarky is a tough combination to overcome.
I’m loving these stories — they’re awesome. Great job, Raven. Sorry I’m so far behind, but I’m catching up now … and I should be sleeping. Ugh!
