You are cordially invited to the party of the season where you’ll meet Constance and friends in action.
Constance Jeffries is excited when she gets the chance to meet up with virtual friends at a get-together in a London hotel. She’s been tweeting and messaging her lovely friends for years and feels they must be just as excited to finally meet her in person too. Or so she hopes.
The Big Event is first part in a short story series about the importance of ‘real’ friendships and how it’s the little things that matter the most.

Well this is a very short but sweet book.
I liked that it was about being a part of an online community and that this was the first time they were meeting in person, really made it fun to guess how things would turn out.
It was nice that there was the comparison between what we see of people online and what they are like in real life and that everything isn’t always as it seems, but also that you never know how much you might impact someone without ever realising.
It was hard to get a good feel for Constance because of the length of the book but she seems kind and considerate and I liked that she maybe wasn’t as preoccupied as the other characters with updating her online accounts.
This is a very quick and light-hearted read that will hopefully give you a giggle.
