It has been a while since I have done any writing, since I am starting to get into my reading and creating I thought it was high time I started flexing my writing muscles.
I have decided to start small and ease myself back into it with some stories under 100 words and luckily found a wonderful prompt to kick me off.

It felt like freedom, or as close as she had ever been to it, the wind with a slight hint of salt and the sun like a dying ember. She hadn’t expected something so serene.
Feeling like she should be surrounded by a scene that reflected the turmoil she held in her heart, she was caught off guard by the peace and the endlessness of the horizon. She thought perhaps it was a sign, a sign for a fresh start, that she should sail alone for a while on calmer waters.
A change that would be most welcome.
Written in response to the #writephoto prompt that was created by Sue Vincent.
Use the image and title provided as inspiration to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose…and link back to the promt post with a pingback to be included in the round-up. There is no word limit and no style requirements, except to keep it fairly family friendly and not passionately political.

I’m glad you found the prompt. A lovely piece to dive in with 🙂
