everywhere in October

I feel like it has been a bumper month around here in October, as well as a pretty good reading month it has also been the start of the BBNYA spotlights so I have been showcasing a lot of books. I also managed to complete my RWDC challenge prompts for this month too which I’m pleased about. I managed seven books this month and they were all pretty great, this is what I read…

Eliza Clark | Penance

An unnerving but compulsive read and definitely a book that will stick with you.

After the Forest | Kell Woods

A brilliant reimagining of a classic fairy tale with some surprises along the way.

The Kamogawa Food Detectives | Hisashi Kashiwai

A cosy and joyful exploration of food and memory.

The Luminaries | Susan Dennard

A perfect mix of escapism and adventure with a spooky setting.

Pax and the Missing Head | David Barker

A nice easy read, fun with some lovely friendships and a lot of action.

Hydra | Matt Wesolowski

Hydra is a chilling but captivating thriller that will easily have you hooked.

Frankenstein | Mary Shelley

I did struggle at a few parts in this classic, overall, I appreciate how amazing this story is for its time.ย

I also hosted spotlights for lots of books

Awakening: The Communeโ€™s Curse Book 1 | Broken Sky | Curse of the Fallen | Fractured (Telepath: Book One) | Glory Unbound | Hall of Bones | Hazelhearth Hires Heroes | The Unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic | Jiddy Vardy

Coming up…

I’m hoping next month will be just as good for me reading wise and that you have some good books to look forward to as well.
