…I was having a chat about ironing the other day with a co-worker. She said that she can’t stand for things not to be ironed and I said that unless it really needs it, I can’t be bothered with ironing. This lead into a discussion of gender roles; how its possible that because, when she was younger, women were still very much seen as the homemakers and that’s why she places such importance on it. Whereas my generation eschew such traditional roles and only do it if its necessary as opposed to feeling the need to do it. This inspiring video sprang to mind.

I don’t iron unless absolutely necessary. I will purposely not buy clothes I like if they need ironing!
My husband gets up every morning and irons his own shirt for work. Yay for modern men!

Do it! I got tired of wearing things one time and then them silently judgingly me from the depths of the washing basket.
No one needs that kind of negativity!
