Even though it was spectacularly pretty it was a bit eerie.
Natalie had prepared for village life as best she could and was sure she would rise to the challenge, she had rather hoped that there would be people around though. Ones she could practice speaking with so she would pick up the language quicker, unlike the city where everyone was keen to speak to her in English.
The assumption she had made was that in a village they would all be out chatting to each other. Natalie’s mother would have some clever quip about assumptions when she heard about this part of the adventure.
