everywhere in June

I took a bit of a step back throughout June to do some concentrating on myself and also because I was having difficulty getting in a reading mood. Luckily I had a few really good books on the schedule that I’d committed to because they slowly got me out of my reading slump.

Obviously there hasn’t been too much happening around here and I’m a little behind on my Goodreads challenge and I’ve not even looked at my 20 books of summer list but here is what I did get round to reading.

A fresh and exciting retelling of Les Mis with immersive writing and a wonderful mix of characters.

A quick paced and gripping read, full of interesting characters, magic, and a slightly sinister but thrilling storyline.

A heartwarming, uplifting and feel good book, with a fantastic bunch of characters that will give you a lot of laughs.

A story with an important message that deals with difficult subjects but ultimately is about hope and acceptance.

An amazing, fun and relatable middle grade book about navigating relationships.

I also hosted a spotlight for Catalyst by Tracy Richardson.

I feel like my reading mojo is coming back and I’m hoping that I can make a bit of a dent in some of my reading challenges, until next time stay safe and happy.
