I had high hopes for May and I started it feeling very motivated but unfortunately whilst I was excited for the good books on my list for this month, I ended up so busy that I’ve not been able to read or have much time to make posts, especially towards the end of the month. I’m hoping to have a little more balance soon as I have a lot of good books still to read and I actually need a little more time to relax and wind down. It is safe to say that I am a bit behind on my reading challenges but hopefully next month I’ll make some progress because June sees the start of 20 books of summer challenge and I am determined to get to ten books, I’m trying for positive thinking. Before all that kicks off here is what I managed this month…
The Summer Job | Lizzy Dent
Brilliant book, a lot of fun to read, a bit emotional, an unexpected storyline, and with wonderful characters too. Highly recommended.

All Girls | Emily Layden
A very unexpected multiple POV character-driven book that looks at the experiences of young women in a sensitive and engaging way.

The Lamplighters | Emma Stonex
An amazing book with the thrill of a mystery as well as a beautiful exploration of love and loss, atmospheric and absorbing it kept me guessing until the end.

I also hosted some great content for these books…
Guest posts on the tours for Second Chance at First Love and Wayward Voyage.
A book blitz for Save Her.
A character interview on the tour for Raven Fire.
Excerpts from Glasshouse, Paradiso, Competing with the Star and Maltese Steel.
Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can get to reading some books.
