everywhere in 2024

Happy new year!!

I know I’m a little late I was going to put this together for last week but I was feeling lazy and didn’t. Well what a year it has been, I think its good that I went into 2024 trying not to put too much pressure on myself because I didn’t really achieve any of my goals or complete any of my challenges but that’s ok. I read 44 books which was just a little shy of the 50 books I was hoping to read, and I didn’t really read very consistently, but I am still going to try to read books to fill in the gaps of my RWDC TBR challenge.

Before I take a look at the trends of the years reading, here are my top ten books of 2024…

It is also quite interesting looking at what changes have happened since my mid year check in…

I can’t believe how inconsistent I have been last year with reading, I think I am going to try and be a little bit more consistent this year because I was just getting into a good reading flow in December so I’m hoping it will continue into 2025. I can’t believe the difference in the amount of adult books I read, that has shot up from the midpoint of the year, as ever I am glad that ARC copies has the highest because I am still slowly trying to get my Netgalley percentage lower. I am a little sad that I have some of the lower ratings on the chart this year but glad that its only a couple at that end of the chart.

Now is the part of the post where I like to see what my visitors top ten posts of the year are…its always very interesting to see what others are favouring…

This year it has all been book reviews which is unusual and there are a few differences to last year but some contenders are still very popular.

Ok so last year I shied away from a set goal because I was trying to be good to myself, but I think this year I am going to attempt to up my Netgalley percentage and hopefully read the 50 books that I have set as my challenge this year. I won’t be bothered if I don’t make it but at this point in the year I’m feeling good about it.
