This book has so got me looking forward to summer, be warned you will probably start craving beaches and ice creams when reading this book.

What if one moment could change your life forever?

Ness has almost resigned herself to being single forever, when she catches sight of the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen on the train to work.

But just as she plucks up the courage to speak to him – he steps off the train and disappears into the crowds, without realising he’s accidentally dropped his phone!

It’s her ‘glass slipper’ moment, she’s sure of it, she just needs to track him down – all the way to the gorgeous seaside village of Pearlholme, where she finds him restoring a vintage carousel by the sea…

Maybe it’s finally time to follow her heart?

my thoughts

So I have to admit to being a bad book blogger, I haven’t had time to finish this book yet, I’m about halfway through so I’m going to give you my thoughts so far.

Jaimie Admans is definitely one of my go to authors, I just know when I pick up one of her books that I’m going to enjoy it. This book is no exception, from the start I could tell that I was going to get along well with this one, the whole idea is something that everyone can relate to. I’ve occasionally come across a ‘train man’ and wondered his story, I’ve also caught eyes with someone once or twice but invariably never see them again, so I was definitely along for the ride with Ness.

I really love the setting of Pearlholme, it is the kind of place you wish were real so you can go hang out there, and it has really got me in the mood for summer and ice cream.

Ness and Nathan’s chemistry is amazing, I have actually found myself giggling aloud at a lot of the things they say to each other. I’ve had to be careful about reading on the train into work because I never know when I’m going to end up laughing and everyone gives me funny looks when I do.

I feel like I’m waiting on some tension to throw a spanner in the works and I think I know where it will probably come from but I am excited to see where the story takes these two. I just hope I get more time to enjoy it because it’s been hard putting it down.

about the author

Jaimie is a 32-year-old English-sounding Welsh girl with an awkward-to-spell name. She lives in South Wales and enjoys writing, gardening, watching horror movies, and drinking tea, although she’s seriously considering marrying her coffee machine. She loves autumn and winter, and singing songs from musicals despite the fact she’s got the voice of a dying hyena. She hates spiders, hot weather, and cheese & onion crisps. She spends far too much time on Twitter and owns too many pairs of boots.

She will never have time to read all the books she wants to read.

She is the author of chick-lit romantic comedies The Chateau of Happily Ever Afters, The Little Wedding Island, and Kismetology, and she has also written young-adult romantic comedies Afterlife Academy, Not Pretty Enough, and North Pole Reform School.
